Make sure you do the following on the day of the test:
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before your test starts.
- Bring your confirmation booking email or letter.
- Bring your valid UK Passport and or Driving Licence as confirmed at the time of booking, remember no ID no Test no Refund or Reschedule.
- After your test, you must keep your Score Report safe as it has important information on it relating to your card application.

Car
If you’re planning to travel to the Preston CSCS Test Centre by car, the test centre is located at the bottom of Guildhall Street at the Cross Street junction just off Fishergate. You will find the test centre building opposite Marks and Spencer’s.
Parking
There are no parking facilities at Preston CSCS Test Centre. The nearest car park is provided by NW Car Parks Ltd and is located on Glover’s Court which is a 2 minute walk from the test centre. There is also a car park on Sykes Street which is a 3 minute walk from the test centre. Both car parks cost £2.20 to park for 2 hours.
Bus
There are several bus lines that stop near Guildhall Street. These are: 75, 77, 77A, and 89. The nearest bus stop is on Fishergate outside the Boots (Stand E), this is a 3 minute walk from the test centre. Preston Bus Station is around a 10 minute walk away.
Train
The nearest train station to the test centre is Preston Train Station. This is 0.4 miles from the test centre and takes approximately 8 minutes to walk from here.
Other Information
The test centre is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. Disabled access is via a ramp to the building entrance and then, once inside, the test centre is on the same level. There is a buzzer entry system.
